Shadow Puppets
A Burning Bush performance can also feature a short Turkish-style shadow puppet show. Lit from behind, six exotic, colourful characters appear on a large screen (we supply), bringing to life one of the Sephardi world's most enchanting and romantic ballads: the story of Don Bueso and his long lost sister.
The puppets are designed, built and operated by two of the UK's most distinguished puppeteers - Jane Eve and Trisha Brummer, whose joint backgrounds include Islington's famous Little Angel Marionette Theatre, the Salzburg Marionettes Theatre and the Pomegranate Puppet Theatre who specialise in Jewish folk tales.
